As someone who enjoys feeling the best in my body, shopping and fashion are a MUST. Not originally being from the Bay Area.. I was unaware of the most popular shops near the San Jose State campus. This list of stores are the most well known in downtown San Jose for young girls in their 20’s.
Zara is one of the most popular brands for college aged women. Zara is an affordable fashion brand. You may get stylish items at a great price while also helping to have a good influence on cotton communities that are cultivated environmentally.
I’ll let you in on a little secret: Zara is my low-cost fashion weakness. I can’t help but appreciate the fashionable, on-trend garments that seem like they belong on the front of a magazine every time I walk into a Zara shop or peruse their online inventory. One thing to keep in mind: Zara has incredibly contemporary (and sometimes wacky) fashions, so going in with an idea of what you like will help you get the most bang for your buck.
I also adore Zara’s more understated but as fabulous basics: think smart trench coats, stylish shirts, and cut jeans.
Did you think I’d write a piece about inexpensive clothes and leave Forever 21 out? Forever 21 is America’s most popular discount clothes retailer, with its ultra-trendy look and even cheaper costs! Forever 21 provides unbeatable online and in-store bargains. They have everything you need, from that little black dress to intimates that go with anything! They cater to a wide range of styles, including bohemian, athletic, preppy, and more. Forvever 21 is always my go to for festival outfits or just cute, comfy sweat sets.
Finally, I must mention that I like Forever 21’s gorgeous fabric tote bags and shoes, which come in a range of stylish patterns and colors. Their platform boots are to die for!
H&M is the place to go if you want high-quality clothing at a reasonable price. They’ve also created a Garment Collection program, where they’ll give you 15% off your purchase for every bag of textiles you bring in for recycling!
They have everything-from jewelry to summer dresses all at affordable prices! H&M is always having sales up to $1 for some items in the store. There is a variety of colorful & trendy phone cases, claw clips, and layered jewelry that are perfect to accessorize with! They do collabs with well-known designers, such as Simone Rocha and Johanna Ortiz.
For college students who are UNiDAYS members, H&M offers a 15% student discount. You may simply join by enrolling on the company’s website or in person.
